As a hotel guest you have free access to the gym and sauna. The gym is equipped for fitness, strength and functional training. We have both a steam sauna and dry sauna. The suite is unisex and is open every day (booking required). Ask at reception about current opening times or to get the sauna heating turned on.
Our Wellness suite cannot be booked in advance or reserved. The lower age limit for using the gym is 18. Use of gym equipment is at your own risk and liability.
Useful to know about Wellness suite
- The sauna is unisex, so you may want to bring bathing wear with you and change in your room.
- Bathrobes and slippers can be borrowed from reception.
- Large and small towels are available for use in the sauna.
Luggage and room safes
There is a locked luggage room at reception. The hotel cannot accept responsibility for luggage. Luggage trolleys are available to borrow; ask at reception. There is a room safe in every room for storing valuables. Valuables can also be handed in at reception for secure storage.

Guests are free to use our three courtyards. There is a hammock in one of the courtyards and comfortable lounging chairs in another. The courtyards are open during the summer season and in suitable weather. Any accompanying pets are not permitted in our courtyards.
We offer room service – for a menu and times see the room folder in your room.
Shop at reception
The shop at reception is open around the clock and sells salads, simple sandwiches, fruit, cold drinks and tea and coffee. You can also buy souvenirs.
TV & Internet
We offer 18 television channels. All channels are free of charge. All our hotel rooms and public areas have free wireless internet access. You simply log in using the instructions that appear when you open your browser on your device. Travelling without a computer? You are welcome to use our computer at reception.
Laundry and ironing
Laundry that you require the same day must be left at reception before 09.00 (Monday–Friday). There is a price list and laundry bag in your hotel room. There is an iron and ironing board in your hotel room.
Cash free hotel
Hotell Heden is a cash free hotel. Thank you for your understanding and for helping us making our working environment safer. We accept all major credit cards or advance payment.
Checking in and out
You are welcome to check in after 15.00. If you arrive earlier you are naturally welcome to drop off your luggage, park your car and collect any Liseberg tickets. If you are under 18 you must be accompanied by an adult when you check in. The latest time for checking out is 11.00. On Sundays in September to April the check-out time is extended to 13.00.
There are 27 parking spaces close to the hotel for our guests. These are subject to availability and cannot be pre-booked. Tickets can be purchased from reception for SEK 195 per day (2021). Parking is unattended and is located outdoors.
If you need to cancel your room for some reason you should do so by 18.00 on the day before your arrival date. If you fail to arrive without having cancelled, or cancel later than 18.00, you will be charged for one day for the room category that you booked. Bookings made by phone or e-mail can only be changed by phone or e-mail; these bookings will not appear on the booking engine. If you booked a hotel room through an agent (e.g. Booking.com, Expedia.com etc.) contact them if you want to make a change or cancel.
Bring your best friend along on your trip! We offer rooms where pets are welcome for SEK 300 per stay. These are subject to availability, so please don’t forget to tell us when you book. Pets are not allowed in the courtyard, but you can naturally walk your pet in the beautiful surroundings outside the hotel.
Hotell Heden is a non-smoking hotel. A special charge will be levied for unauthorised smoking in your room. We refer smokers to the area outside the hotel entrance.
Accessibility and allergies
Hotell Heden naturally offers hotel rooms that are adapted for guests with disabilities. Our public areas are also accessible for wheelchairs. Please let us know in advance if you have any food allergies, so we can try to adapt our breakfast menu and other meals at the hotel.
